chordsIn chords there are never two normal positions above each other. I always try to relate a chord on one position from which th eother fingers make exceptions. To define a chord it is sufficient to write the outward finger (seen from body center). This is also valid for divided positions (see next point).

In consequence with chords you see often normal numbers with brackets over each other. At septim chords or even wider chords sometimes you have to write two or more brackets; in this case it is more beautiful to write a big bracket over two numbers:
